HIN Platform

HIN is an identity provider for the Swiss healthcare sector and also offers services in the areas of secure communication, secure access, and secure collaboration. The basis for these services is the electronic HIN Identity.

Authentication

Authentication of the HIN participant when accessing an application is handled entirely by the HIN platform. The application should not perform any additional user authentication, as this would break Single Sign-On. Authentication is performed either via the HIN Client, Access Gateway, or alternative authentication (Web Login).
